Aerosmith – US hard rock group formed in 1970 by Steven Tyler (born Steven Tallarico, 26/3/198,Yonkers, NY, vocals) Joe Perry (born 10/9/1950, Boston, MA, guitar),Brad Whitford (born 23/2/1952, Winchester, MA, guitar), Tom Hamilton (born 31/12/1951, Colorado Springs, CO, bass) and Joe Kramer (born 21/6/1952, The Bronx, NYC, drums).

Their debut album was released in 1973. Perry left in 1979 to form the Joe Perry Project and was replaced by Jimmy Crespo. Whitford left in 1981 and was replaced by Rick Dulay. The original line-up re-formed in 1984.

Four Grammy Awards include the non-charting Best Rock Performance by a Group with vocal in 1990 for ‘Jane’s Got A Gun’. They were named Best Rock Act at the 1994 and 1998 MTV Europe Music Awards and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
